Amos Mwale (Executive Director)
Amos Mwale is a public health specialist with expertise in the field of HIV and AIDS and sexual and reproductive health and rights. His main areas of interest are young people's needs and gender, especially the role of men in sexual and reproductive health. His work has been in the area of policy and programme development, research, training, technical assistance, regional support mechanisms and monitoring and evaluation in multilateral, bilateral and NGO settings. Currently, Amos is the Executive Director (ED) and co-founder of Youth Vision Zambia (YVZ) a leading youth SRHR based organization in Zambia. Before taking up the role of ED in 2007, Amos had been working as director of programmes for YVZ. He currently sits on a number of HIV/AIDS committees in Zambia including the Zambia National Youth Development Council, National AIDS Council advocacy task force. Amos holds a degree in Youth and Community Education from University of Huddersfield (United Kingdom) and has plans of pursing a masters degree in future.
Chilambe Katuta (Director of Programmes)
Chilambe Katuta is a specialist in public health, education and community development. His expertise covers a range of areas such as sexual and reproductive health management and education; gender, fund management, and health; quality assurance; curriculum development and organisation of training. He has been working at Youth Vision Zambia providing programmatic and technical assistance to the organization in the area of sexual and reproductive health and rights and HIV and AIDS programmes. Chilambe also has a strong training background in project management areas such as proposal development, project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Zambia in Public Administration and Development Studies and a combined Master of Science Degree in International Health from Queen Margaret University (UK) and The University of Copenhagen (Denmark). Presently, Chilambe is employed at Youth Vision Zambia as Director of Programmes. He is married and lives in Lusaka, Zambia.
Peter Mutanuka (Management Accountant)
Peter Mutanuka is the Youth Vision Zambia accountant. He has been working as an accountant for YVZ in relation to preparing and maintaining the books of accounts and implementing controls on the organization finances. He holds a Certified Accounting Technician [CAT] from the Zambia Centre For Accountancy Studies [ZCAS] where also he is currently studying for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants [ACCA]. He has extensive experience in the maintenance of accounting statements and production of financial reports.
Wala Nalungwe Mutuma (Programme Officer)
Wala Nalungwe Mutuma is a unique SRHR feminist advocate and selfless mentor to others, all of which is centered in her passion for serving Youth especially young women. She has a passion for promoting women's empowerment, education amongst ALL people, especially the youth and young women. She expresses her passion through her job and volunteer activities such as her role in the Generation Alive young women's feminist movement building initiative. Wala was part of the team that formed YVZ in 2002 and is now a programmes manager in charge of coordinating the Young women's Leadership Academy programme and the Building Young Women's Activism programme in partnership with JASS. Wala has had the opportunity to attend national and international conferences and speak on behalf of African Youth. She holds a Bachelor of Arts with Education Degree from the University Zambia Lusaka. She has an incredible verve for learning and sharing her knowledge and experience through her service to people; and a demonstrated passion and commitment to the development of young people especially young women.
Andrew Tandeo (Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist)
Andrew Tandeo is a specialist in youth development, and planning, monitoring and evaluation has 6+ years of professional experience includes, programme development and management, youth development administration and management, and is a renowned freelance youth consultant and researcher. He earned his Diploma in Youth Development with Merit at Open University of Zimbabwe and his Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation with Merit from University of Zambia. His is actively involved in youth development and served as a Programme Manager, Acting Council Secretary and Board member for National Youth Development Council. He is a member of the Zambia Youth Workers Association as General Secretary and a Chairperson for Youth Association of Zambia. Andrew is currently the Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist at Youth Vision Zambia. In his role as Monitoring and Evaluation, he has developed and implemented result based monitoring and evaluation framework, tolls and information management system for the achievement of organizational goals. As a programmer, Andrew is constantly seeking creative ways to foster a dynamic learning environment and to promote high quality programmes and continuous improvement. He is excited to be serving as Monitoring and Evaluation specialist at Youth Vision Zambia.
Chembo Simukanga (Programme Officer)
Chembo Simukanga works as a programmes officer at Youth Vision Zambia. He has been Youth Worker for over 5 years. His work includes coordinating, implement, supervision and support of various projects. He decided to be in youth work so that he could inspire young people to make informed choices and to be comfortable with their sexuality. He gets motivation at youth vision Zambia because they have given him the opportunity to develop a range of different skills and been very supportive in his choices.
Muma Mwale (Programme Officer)
Muma Mwale, Currently serves as the Youth Vision Zambia has programme officer. She has a strong training background in advocacy. She is interested in striking a balance between Reproductive Health, Programme Management/Service delivery and research, to increase access to a full range of quality reproductive health services including addressing the issue of maternal mortality and morbidity, strengthening family planning, male and adolescent reproductive health and ensuring reproductive health commodity security more especially for young people with a biases to young women.
Chaiwe Mushauko (Programme Officer)
Chaiwe Mushauko is a self motivated young woman, holder of a Bachelor of Science degree in natural resources management. Miss Mushauko works with the young people on the Kuwala Photovoice Project which is reaching out to them through photo capture training and issues of their sexual and reproductive health rights, the children are then given an opportunity to make their voices heard through photos and story captions. She is also appreciative of the fact that as a young person she can make a difference with the knowledge and resources that have been afforded me to empower and educate fellow young people
especially the much younger generation issue involving their Sexual and Reproductive
Health Rights.
